Hobbies: Anything outdoors – hiking, camping, gardening, sunbathing. Reading books about interesting things and people. Cooking, baking, leftovers. Medical TV shows. Crochet and occasionally knitting. Lifting weights. Laughing and thinking with friends.
Favorite Pilates exercise and why: I really love Mermaid! The stretch feels so nice to my muscles and I can really breathe into it. I always feel so much more relaxed afterwards, it’s like a body reset!
How Pilates helped me: Besides helping my overall fitness, Pilates has definitely been a pivotal point in my health and wellness journey. It has taught me to be very intentional with my movement and to slow down and be present with my body in order to really connect with it. Now, I’ve noticed that intention.
