Hobbies: I’m passionate about staying active and enjoy participating in a variety of fitness events with friends, including power walking marathons, rucking, hiking, and tackling Tough Mudder challenges. I value time with family and friends, including traveling together, line dancing and I love spending quality time with my mini Goldendoodle, Cooper. I also help an artist friend sell jewelry at art fairs in the Phoenix area.
Philosophy statement: My mission is to live an active, vibrant life rooted in health and wellness, continuously building strength and resilience in both body and mind. I am committed to lifelong learning and skill development, applying the principles of Pilates to teach efficient movement, functional strength, and core stability. My goal is to inspire and equip others to achieve their personal fitness and wellness goals with effective, purposeful instruction.
Favorite Pilates exercise and why: The plank is one my favorite exercises because it effectively engages the entire core, helping build strength and stability without requiring equipment. Yet, the plank can be done on various pieces of Pilates equipment as well, adding variety.
How Pilates helped me: Pilates has strengthened my body by building a solid core foundation, which supports better balance, stability, and movement control. Through focused exercises, it’s enhanced my overall strength, allowing me to approach physical activities with greater confidence and reduced risk of injury.
Why I enjoy teaching Pilates: I enjoy teaching Pilates because it empowers clients to build strength, flexibility, and body awareness in a way that supports long-term wellness. Seeing their confidence grow as they master movements and find relief from pain or limitations makes the experience incredibly fulfilling.
