Mission statement: My mission is to empower people to cultivate strength, balance, and resilience through Pilates and mindful coaching. Grounded in science and supported by my background in health, psychology, and wellness, I guide clients to connect body and mind, improve longevity, and move with confidence so they can live active, fulfilling lives.
Favorite Pilates exercise and why: My three favorite exercises in Pilates are Snake, Twist, and Cat Walkover. Each of them requires strength, flow, and control, but more importantly they reflect what I have dedicated my life to studying, the connection between body and mind. In these movements, breath, focus, and alignment come together to create not only physical challenge but also mental clarity and presence. They remind me that Pilates is more than exercise; it is a practice of awareness, balance, and integration.
How Pilates helped me: Pilates has been life changing for me. I used to suffer from piriformis syndrome brought on by pickleball and hiking, along with debilitating lower back pain that became so severe I needed injections for relief. Through Pilates, I discovered balance, strength, and a new awareness of my body. The practice not only eased my pain but also taught me how to move with intention and alignment, giving me freedom and confidence to keep as active as always.
Why I enjoy teaching Pilates: I enjoy teaching Pilates because I can see, often within just a few sessions, how clients become more aware of their bodies and begin to release stress. Guiding people to find balance, strength, and presence through mindful movement is deeply rewarding, and it allows me to share the connection between body and mind that has transformed my own life.
Hobbies: Outside of Pilates, I enjoy hiking, playing pickleball and beach tennis, cooking, and spending time reading.
