Apprentice

Hometown: I was born in Meridian, Mississippi but left when I was 10 to move overseas with my family! I moved around a lot growing up but consider Phoenix to be home, given I’ve spent over a decade here.

College attended and degree earned: Arizona State University

Years teaching Pilates: since 2025

Years taking Pilates: since 2021

Trained by: Katrina Foe and Kellee Stooks through Balanced Body

Other related certifications/credentials:  I am a children’s cardiac critical care nurse by trade, and have travel nursed for many years during COVID; certified in PALS (pediatric advanced life support) and BLS (basic life support).  I’ve since earned my Masters in Global Health and have begun teaching as a nurse educator at the local Children’s hospital.

Hobbies: I am a huge traveler! I love discovering new places, meeting new people, and immersing myself in different cultures. I also love reading, painting, and cooking!

Mission statement: I am a huge proponent of safe and science based movement. I love getting my clients to move, and to be able to speak to the efficacy of each exercise!

Favorite Pilates exercise and why: My favorite exercise is Cleopatra!

How Pilates helped me: Pilates has helped tremendously with reducing my low back pain, as well as promoting spinal health. It has been an absolute game changer for years and it’s left me feeling more confident, healthy, and happy!

Why I enjoy teaching Pilates: I love teaching Pilates because it’s evidence based, simple, and effective. Although it is not a one size fits all, there is something for everyone and I truly believe it is the key to feeling and looking your best. I also love playing body detective with my clients to help them improve on small imbalances to optimize their practice.
